This top is made from blocks that are based on the basic nine patch block. These were challenge blocks from the first yahoo group I joined back in July of 2009. At the time I didnt have a stash, but had a small amount of fat quarters and I tried to put stuff together that I thought looked good. What did I know, right?
Each Block is 12 in finished with a 2 in finished inner border and a 4 in finished outer border. This piece unfinished is 52x52. I cant decide if I want to do one more border on it to enlarge its size to 60x60. I like how the brown finishes if off now. So, I want to think on this a little.
That looks really cool - the blue just pops! If you want to make it larger, what about pulling the midrange blue from the HST's in the center top block? Its not as bright as the other blue, but might enhance the blocks even more? Just a thought lol. What ever you decide, you have a nice looking top there!
