What I Have Been Up to for the Past Week

First up is a Winter Tree Wall hanging. I have this top put together, but it went straight to the UFO pile. I love this and will get it finished soon.

Next up is this beautiful label that Janet Yatska. This label will go on the beautiful Crabapple quilt that was made for my dad. You can see that quilt here. Thank you so, so much Janet. We love it!!

Made these pinwheels for a swap in the Facebook group Quilt Block Swap Group.

Out of the left overs came this mug rug. I try to use everything up!! I try!!

Pulled this quilt out of the UFO pile and it is currently getting quilted...finally. This is "crumbs in the grass".

Lastly, I finally put together the extra Orca Bay blocks into pillows to go with the quilt. As you see I have stuffed on of them and tonight I will stuff the other. I just love them!

As you see it has been a busy, busy weekend actually cause I was down with some major pain in my hips last week. All in all, I think not too bad!!

Hope you are getting lots done in  your little part of quiltland!

Another Baby Quilt on the Chopping Block

I made this one a long while ago and thought I would FMQ it,but got so frustrated with it that I had to put it way. Off to the UFO pile it went.  Michelle over at Michelle's Romantic Tangle is focusing on Baby quilts, so I am pulling a new one out of my UFO pile to finish them up. Thanks Michelle for the motivation to get them finished. I will have an easier time of it cause I learned alot about FMQ while involved in The Free Motion Quilting Project this past year.

This quilt is more for a tiny newborn then could be used as a wall hanging in the baby's room. Hmmmmmmmm...So,off I go this weekend to finish this one up and will post the final picture next week.

UFO, A New Friend and What Im Working on Now

UFO number 3 is finished. I won these Christmas blocks at a meeting of my quilt guild. I didn't particularly like them all together so I made three table runners out of them. Here is the last one.

Go check out Quilting for Sanity!
Shannon has designed a new quilt pattern. Shannon also is currently updating her mystery quilt sew along group for her upcoming mystery.

Shannon is a stay at home mom of 2 boys and in her spare time she designs quilt patterns that she offers in her Craftsy Store. Shannon also has designed some cool fabrics and Wallpapers. My favorite is her Monkeying Around and her Moroccan Tiles Collection which you can find in her Spoonflower Store

When you stop by her blog, be sure to say Hi!!

This is what im working on now. My forest quilt. I am currently adding tree trunks to the trees.

here are the little trees all trimmed up. Have a bit to finish of the trees. Once the trees are finished, the quilt goes together rather quickly. Trying to decide if I will stuff the trees to they look dimensional.

Quilty Projects

Pink baby quilt. In the process of being quilted.

Close of picture of the quilting. I am "in-lining" the triangles...LOL

Finished this little table runner using some scraps that where sent to me.

Found these blocks in a drawer and put them together to make another baby quilt. It is off to the UFO pile till I finish the other one.

Last but not least. I found this at a yardsale. Thought it was cute!

Look What is Finally Going to Get Wired

My Grandmothers sewing machine.

This one apparently didn't have any decals.  You can faintly see the word Singer on the arm.

It is from 1947. I found out it was made during the 160th Anniversary of Singer Sewing Machines. I am so happy that I can finally send this one out to be rewired. I am so looking forward to sewing on this again!!! It drives like a dream.

Look at this pretty plate on it. Actually, there are several more, but I didnt get pictures of all of them.

Only problem I see is that the lid of the table droops down, it does not lay flat. I'm not sure how to fix that.
If you have any ideas on how to fix this issue with the table, feel free to message me.

Im wondering too if this machine can be used on a treadle. The motor looks like it can be completely removed. It sure is different for the things we purchase now a day, huh?

Easy Street Without Borders

I'm not sure but this mystery seems so much bigger than Orca Bay. It feels massive, but is going to be wonderful to snuggle under once finished!! Truth time. When I first put together one of each block, I was not liking this mystery at all. I felt a bit dejected. If it had not been for another lady showing a picture of what part of hers looked like, I think I would have dragged my feet to finish this. I was loving what hers looked like, so I pushed forward and am quite happy with the way this came out. I am actually loving it.

I have now completed two tops and one quilt of Bonnie's design and I just love everything Bonnie does!! Thank you Bonnie Hunter for all your share with us. You have a fabulous, giving spririt. I am so glad I found you two years ago. You inspire me!!

You can find the mystery clues on Bonnie's Blog. Be sure to grab them in the next couple of months cause she wont keep them up forever.
